Shall we not pray for the Holy Spirit to be part of our lives daily?

I was listening to Acts29 on Instagram looking upon dead guys like Justin Martyr and Tertullian , and reading about the mighty work of evangelism and life of believer. The Instagram post was a video telling people to spend more time in the Bible. I remembered that faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. So I sat down and read aloud Acts 1 to Acts 4. Such an amazing portion and I believe that God wants us to be encouraged through this. In these four chapters over 12 times the Spirit of God was mentioned. Acts 1:2 Being witness (promised) - Acts 2:41 Acts 4:4 (promise fulfilled) Acts 1:5 Given prophetical knowledge of Jesus Acts 1:8 Filled with power (1 Corinthians 2:4) Acts 1:16, Acts 2:14 , Acts 2:25 Given revelation into the Bible --  Acts 4:13, Acts 4:25  Implied  Acts 2:2-3 Filled with Holy Spirit Acts 2:4, Acts 2:17 Given utterance by the Spirit Acts 2:33 Proof that Jesus did and say that were true - or that Jesus is indeed the messiah Acts 2:14 ...

I AM Series | Episode 3 | I am the bread - Anyone who thirsts | John 7:34-44

37 On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’ ” 39 Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. J ohn 7:37–39 (ESV) Story so far Last week, we looked at the question Jesus posed the believer? Are you following me because you saw the miracles and were convinced that I am sufficient or are you following me because you got he blessings and want more? This week we shall dwell into this topic even deeper. Also we been looking at John. John said "The word became flesh and tabernacled  among us" John 1:14 Timeline :  The book of John is not a literal or chronological narrative. The aim of the author is to explain who Jesus is and why is Jesus the reason for life. This is eviden...

one day

one day i may die. so as you. some may live till a ripe old age, other be killed at an young age, some may be caught in the rapture, others will be persecuted in the tribulations. But being a Christian, one thing is certain, that there is one day when our mortal body will be transformed to an immortal one. From that day on new things will happen. You will feel alive and be awake. You will not grow tired nor hunger or thirst. One such day, you may go for war against the accuser - the Satan. On that day you will see the death paying its debt. You may partake in the victory celebrations in the galaxy that day and the days to come. Then may be one day, days and night may cease to exist and time would be timeless. From then on you will live in the presence of the almighty. As you live there, you will see the Father, God of all. You will worship Him because he is there. You will see and know the Holy Spirit and realise that the Father is not the spirit, and the Spirit not the Father. ...

Selah Pause and Think

I just hear Gary, the pastor of Hillsong London speak on "leaning toward" (worship) telling how we should be ready to be moved to hear the Spirit at every church service, not just the great speakers but also the new speakers. Blessed by the amazing simplicity of the message. Hope you like this message and be blessed by it. Gary Clarke says " when we come to Church we should not be just to sing some songs .... but rather to experience God inhabiting in our praise " There is a time when the tangible presence of God invades our lives. Gary adds, when some one is speaking, do not fall for the trap to expect the speaker to give an intellect university lecture on the deep truth of God because he says, when you say "that is not deep enough" , what we are doing is telling that we do not have the maturity of receiving from the Holy Spirit directly to us.
