Skies Turning Blue

I look onto you, to see the skies turning blue,
For its been a long night of struggle and fear,
I know that your voice calls me, in the midst of this storm
Hold me tight that I walk across the waves and seas.

For I am none and you are all
I am the clay and you potter
Take me in master – cover me in your wing
This is my prayer and my love for you

(Chorus)

Shine -Shine on- Shine on me
Pour -Pour out- Pour out your Spirit on me
Consume every- weakness and pains
Let your Son shine over me

(..2)

Your love is amazing , your mercies everlasting,
Your Son sent on the cross, my Lord,my Jesus
This great is your love that you tore away the skies,
Sanctify me more, that I can bring you praise offerings

You are our Father, You are our Lord
We are Your children, humbly we stand
This is our prayer, our earnest request,
Let Your Holy Ghost dwell in us...

Oh Lord... majesty.. shine
(Chorus)

The Nativity - by Gari Melchers

This could be my first ever critique of art that I have ever written and that is because it is only recently art has captured my interest as much as this work. This write up is made both in English and German as I want to practice my German.  'The Nativity' by Gari Melchers.  I am not an art expert and my critique is from a layman's point of view, but bear with me. I have tried reading some information about the art and the culture behind it and I have my two favourite blog posts about the same work and yes,  I have shamelessly copied some of their thoughts. Woebegone but Hopeful and other is by Lisa VO . Julius Garibaldi Melchers (August 11, 1860 – November 30, 1932) was an American artist. He was one of the leading American proponents of naturalism. He won a 1932 Gold medal from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.[1] - Wikipedia The Nativity is painted during the peak of realism movement - in a gritty and less idealised ma...

James Series | Hearers and Listeners | James 1:19-25

Scripture: James 1:19-25 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.
