Meeting Us Here

Let our words be few that our hearts be exposed to you, Let your presence among us take presidency that your thoughts are then palpable, Let our whispers break forth into adoration that you remain pre-eminent in our worship, Let our assiduity in you fathom your love that your resplendence transcends our eyes. Ian and Larissa - a few years later

It has been a couple of years since the video appeared on John Piper's blog  Desiring God  about Ian and Larissa. To those of you who don't know what it is about, I have embedded the original video on this page so that you could enjoy. Ever since I knew about these sacrificial couple, my heart melted for them and for over an year I had followed them on their  blog  on their journey praying for Ian Murphy to get well and watching how his beautiful wife Larissa partners with him. It was their story that made me even recommend the book (  This momentary marriage  available as free pdf) which by the way is brilliantly written by Dr. John Piper. So, recently this couple have been making news again and here is why. We love them and love what God is doing through them . Ian has come a long way in recovery and could make brilliant steps. Ever since the death of Robin Williams, I have been wrestling with myself, on the mystery of thoughts that cause self harm.  It was a few days later after his death I had come across this information which Robin calls " little quiet voice ".
