Fighting the battle that God has given us victory over.

Prayer is the battle cry we have in order to fight against the actions of the devil. We are to fall on our feet to fight the fight and to act the act. Man will bring you down, strip you to the very core, shame you, abuse you, but the very God who made you would not leave you. Your pride will be hurt but you are not destroyed. You will be shamed but you won't be struck down. Praise him in the storm , praise him at all times. As the Psalmist says , God will instruct you and guide you in the way you should go. Even if you were to go through darkness, you are not alone. Fight this fight with the weapon that God has given us, sharpen it- sharpen your prayer. You may have the enemy in front of you, charging against you. But you fall on your knees, not in surrender to the enemy, but to Christ who is preparing the victory over your battlefield. Let us fix our eyes on God, not due to the fear of the situation we are in, but because we fear the Lord.

Let the praise spring up before all nations.

Though the fig tree doesn't bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the crops fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my saviour. The Sovereign Lord is my strength, he makes my feet like the feet of a few, he enables me to trend on the heights.

I will sacrifice a free will offering to you; I will praise your name, Lord, for it is good. You have delivered me from all my troubles and my eyes have loomed in triumph on my foes.

Fight the fight by falling on your knees to God. Praise him when the enemy wants to shut you down, strip you down or even decapitate you. Let your fear of the situation not take over your worship to God. Praise him more, shut down the lies of the devil that cripple you. Praise God, praise him, sing praises over your circumstances, dance as David danced.God has given us victory to trample the works of the devil.

When I was afraid I put my trust in you.

In God whose word I praise- in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?

For you have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life.

When your foundations are shaken, when the floors stripped off under your feet- when the enemy roars and rages, screaming, shouting, threatening to break you.

Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shake . But you, God, will bring down the wicked into the pit of decay; the bloodthirsty and deceitful will not live out half their days. But as for me, I trust in you.

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other. So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

Let go and love, love and fall on your knees, let the power of God act over your situation, use you to fight against the acts of the devil. Be filled in his spirit.

“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Lord Almighty is with us, the God of Jacob is our refuge.

The Nativity - by Gari Melchers

This could be my first ever critique of art that I have ever written and that is because it is only recently art has captured my interest as much as this work. This write up is made both in English and German as I want to practice my German.  'The Nativity' by Gari Melchers.  I am not an art expert and my critique is from a layman's point of view, but bear with me. I have tried reading some information about the art and the culture behind it and I have my two favourite blog posts about the same work and yes,  I have shamelessly copied some of their thoughts. Woebegone but Hopeful and other is by Lisa VO . Julius Garibaldi Melchers (August 11, 1860 – November 30, 1932) was an American artist. He was one of the leading American proponents of naturalism. He won a 1932 Gold medal from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.[1] - Wikipedia The Nativity is painted during the peak of realism movement - in a gritty and less idealised manner . For m

2 Kings 5 | Part 2 | Naaman and the Offense of the cross

This section of the story in 2 Kings chapter 5 focuses on Naaman. We know that Naaman was the commander in chief of the armies of Syria and possibly the right hand man as he was incharge of strategic, political and warfare and security. This was a very prestigious role that Naaman had earned. Some Jewish Rabbis say that his ruthlessness and his power resulted in God punishing Naaman with Tzaraat which is translated as Leprosy. For the sake of these notes, I would consider the word Leprosy.  Naaman was powerful and wise. In fact, it was God who had blessed him from the start. The verse says that Naaman was a powerful and influential man valued by the king greatly. His victory was a gift from God to Aram. Why would God bless a foreign nation to attack the Israelites? In Deuteronomy chapter 28, Moses tells the people that God would make the enemies of Israel punish the people of God if they are disobedient. Jehoram, the then king of Israel was the son of Ahab. Ahab and his wife Jezebel le
